Notes: Squats were pretty difficult today. Stress at the end of the school year because of being 1 credit short of graduation, combined with not great quality sleep due to allergies has been taking an effect. My knees were actually sore before the workout.

Bench felt pretty good. I think I might actually be stronger while letting my wrists cock back a little bit. I'm not sure why this is, but it feels more stable then when I try to keep my wrists straight the entire time. Maybe it makes sense to move back to this style just for the meet and then practice the "right way" afterwards. Not really sure.

Hi Matt!

yes, your deadlift looks better, more powerfull, more legs!

I'm always thinking that you lower the bar (in bench press) with too much close (narrow) elbow, and that force you to a too loosy movement to come up. I'd mantain the same position of elbow that you are using to go up, when come down to chest. Speed looks good. My english look bad.
Nice work.

Another issue:

heels in squat shoes could be your "squat eldorado" but also gives you many difficoult. So pay attention at them.

Hi...anonymous! :-)

Thanks, and I'm glad you agree.

You make a pretty good point about the bench press. I've had surgery on my right shoulder and they're both generally a bit too lax (I was just born that way), so I think that bringing the bar lower gives me a better feeling of safety and security in the bottom.

In regards to the second issue, I'm not sure exactly what you mean by the difficulties.

I have a pair of Safe Squat Shoes that should be coming in the mail within the next week or two. It will probably be too late to get used to them in time for my next meet (2 weeks away), but I'll start using them on the next cycle.
